The plaster-like material that is used for drywall is called joint compound. It is sometimes called plaster because the process of applying it is similar to the process of applying plaster. There are several different finishing levels for drywall. The depth you should be looking for to apply Plaster to your surface is around 2mm thick.This should also, once applied, be as reasonably even as possible, but please do not make too much fuss of your applied Plaster at this time because once the whole wall/ceiling is Plastered onto you can start to trowel out some of the ridges later on, thus said, you should not be putting clumps of Plaster onto your surface, & where you have just applied your strokes of Plaster, don’t play with it too much once it is on the wall, instead, lay on a band of Plaster, & smooth out your strokes so that you have a reasonably level Plaster application the first time, then move onto the next section of your surface to be Plastered until completion.Mix powdered joint compound in clean containers using clean water. Use a mixer similar to a potato masher. For large jobs, consider using a mixer attached to an electric drill. The water should be at room temperature. Reblend the water that may have floated to the top of premixed compound by mixing thoroughly. Do not add more water to premixed compound.Use only clean tools. Dirt, grease and rust will contaminate the joint compound, leaving visible stains and inhibiting its drying time. Clumps of semi-hard joint compound that are not removed from tools will leave grooves in the finish and require more work to make the finish acceptable.

Stair building is one of the most complex aspects of carpentry. My experience is that a good and accurate design is the only way to approach any complex geometry problem.Without CAD software, stairs can be laid out on paper, using ordinary drafting tools. When complete, you can use a ruler to take measurements from the drawing, measurements that would be difficult and time-consuming to calculate. The distance from the deck surface to the floor, sidewalk or deck surface below is called the total rise.Laying this out is much easier on paper (or a CAD system) than trying to create layout lines on the actual project. I suppose you could draw layout lines on the deck support posts, or you could drive some stakes into the ground and mark them.spiral staircases are constructed on a three inch (internal diameter) steel pipe. The treads have a 3 5/8th inch hole in them allowing them to slip fit over the pipe. Between each tread there are short pieces of three and one half inch (internal diameter) pipe which are also slipped over the center pole pipe. After the landing is placed on top of the staircase, a threaded pipe is screwed onto the center pole pipe which tightens everything in place. Look around all wiring and plumbing, and check for spaces that a lizard (or his food) might be able to squeeze through and fill ‘em with some caulk.Another effective way to get rid of lizards would be to use an electric repellant. Plug in the repellant. When it is switched on, it will begin to emit a high frequency sound, which is not audible to human ears. The lizards will detect the high frequency sound easily and find it quiet intolerable. Eventually, they will stay away from the place, where the repellant is plugged in.A bit of quickness will help you a great deal in throwing the lizards out of your house. As and when you spot a lizard, try to corner it. Once you have done this, trap it immediately, using a cardboard box and place a lid on it. Carry the box with you and release the lizard several meters away from your house. Spray remaining lizards in the house with cold water. Not only does the water make it more difficult for them to get their grip, it also makes them much slower because of the cold temperature
